MOSCOW, Nov 28 (PRIME) -- Russian state-owned car plant Moskvich, formerly the plant of France’s Renault, plans to produce about 50,000 cars in 2023, some of which will be given to the car sharing companies in Moscow, the Moscow Region, and other regions, the capital’s department of transport said in a statement on Monday.
“In 2025, we plan to produce a fully-national car at the Moskvich plant. The degree of production localization at Mosvkich will grow at the highest possible rate,” the department said in its Telegram channel.
“Next year the plant is to produce about 50,000 new cars, some which will be used to renew the car sharing stock in Moscow, the Moscow Region, and other Russian regions.”
Mass assembly of cars was launched at the plant on November 23.
